The new CEO of a future rehabilitation clinic in Cleveland is ready to take on the role.
Todd Sandberg is transitioning from working with a group in Kansas to running the ClearSky Medical Rehabilitation Hospital.
He tells SeehaferNews.com that he’s had several leadership roles over the last 20 years while in acute rehabilitation for the last 10 years.
Sandberg says he wanted to take the job as CEO because of the work rehabilitation hospitals do for their patients.
“The amazing stories we provide, the life-changing impact that we have on patients’ lives after like a stroke or Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, a brain injury, those types of things,” he explained. “It’s also how we’re going to help them and get them back home.”
Sandberg expects to work with about 40 to 50 people at the physical rehab clinic, but ClearSky is still looking for people to apply for jobs.
“We have just a number of openings,” he noted. “So right now we are in the process of hiring different leaders and then we are going to begin the process of starting to instill those other opportunities.”
The new ClearSky CEO has one major focus: giving patients a setting for people who are dealing with Multiple Sclerosis or other disabling injuries and being able to provide the best care to get them back to their normal lives.
“Many times after a stroke or a major car accident or brain injury, their unsure of the what the future holds,” he said. “And we just kind of bring the hope back for those individuals that it help them to reimagine and be able to live their life with their new disability or situation that they are in.”
Construction of the ClearSky Medical Rehabilitation Center could be open by August, with the first patient coming in by September.
The Cleveland facility will have 36 beds and is expected to treat more than 650 patients annually.
ClearSky has numerous locations, including Wisconsin, Texas, Florida, and Ohio.
