The City of Sheboygan is looking to help residents dispose of large, unwanted items.
The City’s Department of Public Works has announced that on May 17th the first of numerous collection events will take place at the Municipal Service Building from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Additional collection events will also be held on the third Saturday of each month until October.
These events aim to promote safer and cleaner neighborhoods.
Items to be accepted include household furniture, scrap metal, and other miscellaneous unwanted junk.
However, hazardous waste, tires, and freon appliances such as refrigerators or air conditioners will not be accepted.
Those participating are asked to enter the Municipal Service Building parking lot from the west on Virginia Avenue and be prepared to prove the City of Sheboygan residency.
A complete list of items that will and will not be accepted, as well as directions can be found online by visiting the Sheboygan Department of Public Works Facebook page.
