It was a rough weekend for the Mishicot baseball team.
The squad was at the Adams-Friendship Invitational, where they fell to Marathon 5-2, New Richmond 17-1, and Lakeside Lutheran 8-2.
In the Marathon game, the Indians actually out-hit the Red Raiders 9-6, but couldn’t take advantage of their base runners. New Richmond, however, out-hit the Indians 16-1 in the five-inning matchup.
When the Indians faced Lakeside Lutheran Saturday, Mishicot fell behind 6-0 in the first two innings and couldn’t recover.
Nolan Sand led the offense with 3 hits and 1 RBI on the weekend, while Daryn Smith also contributed 3 hits, and Bennet Grossheim had 2.
The Indians will try to turn it around tomorrow (April 8th) as they host Kohler/Sheboygan Christian.
