
Today marks the start of the baseball season for several local teams.
Manitowoc Lincoln will kick off their 2025 campaign with a home game against FRCC foe Notre Dame, while Manitowoc Lutheran’s home opener is against Sheboygan Falls. Valders also kicks off their season today, but the Vikings are on the road to face Southern Door.
Elsewhere, Sheboygan North is at Green Bay Preble, Sheboygan Lutheran is on the road for Oostburg, Kohler/Sheboygan Christian hosts Cedar Grove-Belgium and Random Lake is in Ozaukee.
Other area games on the calendar include Ashwaubenon hosting Appleton West, Algoma invading Luxemburg-Casco, Bay Port home for Pulaski, and Green Bay Southwest at De Pere.
Meanwhile, it’s a relatively busy day in girls’ softball. Manitowoc Lutheran is set to host Reedsville, while Roncalli is home for New Holstein, Two Rivers is at Oconto Falls, and Mishicot is hosting Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah. Elsewhere, Brillion is home for Algoma, Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian has a road contest in Oostburg, and Random Lake is hosting Winnebago Lutheran.
Also, Luxemburg-Casco is on the road to battle Fox Valley Lutheran, Bay Port is home for Peshtigo, Green Bay West/East is at New London, West De Pere invades New London, and Appleton East is at Southern Door.
Also, A pair of local girls soccer teams that started the season on opposite paths are ready to get back on the pitch today.
Manitowoc Lincoln, coming off a 2-0 win to open the season over West De Pere, will host Sevastopol/Gibraltar on Ron Rubick Field.
Meanwhile, Kiel will try to get their first win of the season in a road matchup against Winnebago Lutheran. Elsewhere, Green Bay East is set to make the short trip to Green Bay Preble, De Pere is at Appleton West, and Menasha is invading Kaukauna.
