
Colder temperatures couldn’t cool down the high-powered offense of the Kiel girls soccer team.
The Raiders netted six goals and shut out Winnebago Lutheran Academy for their first win of the season.
Taavi Saeger opened up the scoring with a pair of long shots, which Head Coach Mike Pritchard said gave the team “a cushion for the match.”
In the second half, it was a full team effort as Jasmine Bink, Harper Walsdorf, Deanna Schwaller, and Ella VanderMeer each found the back of the net, while Mya Langenfeld tallied her first shutout of the season.
Coach Pritchard also praised to defensive effort of Callaway Goodman as the Raiders improved to 1-1.
The Raiders will be back on the pitch on Thursday, as they travel to Kewaskum to take on the Indians.
