A contract has been awarded for construction near Neshotah Park in Two Rivers.
The city council voted unanimously to approve a $150,000 bid from Northeast Asphalt for paving on Pierce Street within the park as well at 21st Street to Zlatnik Drive.
There will also be work done to add about 50 extra parking spaces to the park.
City Manager Greg Buckley says it’s part of the city’s budget borrowing that was approved this year’s city budget.
It’s also part of the Neshotah Park master plan.
According to City Engineer Matt Heckenlaible, the work consists of pulverizing the existing pavement surface, placement of base aggregate, and fine grading the parking areas.
When construction will start is yet to be determined.
