Poetry submissions are now being accepted in the City of Sheboygan for an annual program.
The Mead Public Library and Sheboygan Department of Public Works have opened submissions to residents for the third annual Sidewalk Poetry Program.
Through the program, up to three poetry submissions will be stamped into public sidewalk squares that are up for repair.
Submissions are open to City of Sheboygan residents aged 16 years or older or students who attend school in the city but reside elsewhere.
All submissions must be original works written by the entrant that do not exceed ten lines or 225 characters.
Paper submission forms can be picked up at the Mead Public Library, while online submissions can be made by visiting meadpl.org.
The deadline to submit a poem for the Sidewalk Poetry Program will be May 31st.
