
A drug investigation in Oshkosh led authorities to a residence near an elementary school.
The Oshkosh Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Unit (VNU) completed a drug search warrant yesterday (April 8th) in the neighborhood that includes Emmeline Cook Elementary School.
To ensure the safety of students and school staff, Emmeline Cook staff were notified ahead of he warrant being executed.
While it remains unclear if any narcotics were seized or if anyone was arrested, Oshkosh PD has said the VNU’s Criminal Investigation Division continues investigating the incident.
Along with the announcement of the search warrant, Lieutenant Brett Robertson has said, “The Oshkosh Police Department continues to work diligently to investigate crimes of this nature. The presence of illegal drugs and drug dealers poses a threat to the health, safety, and well-being of our residents, drug overdoses are a threat to all of us.”
