The Manitowoc Lincoln baseball team was finally able to get on the field for a game yesterday (April 10th).
The Shipbuilders shut out Green Bay Southwest 5-0 on the road.
Benson Dickrell got Lincoln on the board with a groundout in the top of the 1st before Vance Shroeder doubled to center field in the top of the 3rd inning.
Turner Sorenson singled, and Nick Braun walked to score a run, adding to the Ships’ lead.
Brayden Steinbecker struck out 10 batters while giving up three hits in his 6 innings of shutout pitching.
Kaleb Langenberg took the loss for Southwest, allowing all five runs over five innings.
The next game for Lincoln’s baseball team is an FRCC doubleheader against Sheboygan North tomorrow at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm at Municipal Field.
