A Green Bay man has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting multiple young girls.
19-year-old Mauricio A Powless was present inside a Brown County courtroom on Friday for his sentencing hearing as he faced two charges of Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and one count each of Attempted First-Degree Child Sexual Assault – Sexual Contact or Intercourse with a Person Under the Age of 13 and False Imprisonment.
WBAY reports that Powless was sentenced to spend 10 years in prison, followed by 10 years on extended supervision.
As we previously reported, the 19-year-old was arrested last year after a string of incidents at Tundra Lodge in Green Bay, the first taking place on January 20th.
While in an elevator, Powless pulled down the pants of a 10-year-old girl before trying to prevent her from leaving.
That same day, a 13-year-old girl reported that Powless had touched her inappropriately in a hallway.
Five days later, Powless sexually assaulted a different 13-year-old girl in an elevator and asked if he could kiss her.
He has received 443 days credited to his sentence and will spend a little less than nine years behind bars.
