A Manitowoc woman has been arrested in connection to an overnight shooting.
Officers were dispatched to a home in the 1600 block of Galax Drive, located north of the former Mid-Cities Mall and west of Meadow Links, just before midnight last night (April 14th) on a weapons call.
The caller reported that a woman was pounding on his window, claiming she had stolen weapons from someone trying to kill her, and gave them two firearms.
Polic arrived to find the woman “franticly pacing” inside her home, and she was visibly shaking as officers spoke with her.
The woman told officers that her boyfriend and others would perform “satanic rituals” in the home and mentioned finding a “bloody shirt and internal organs that may belong to an animal or possibly a human” in her garbage can, which was collected as evidence.
The woman then told police that a friend had come over, and an argument ensued.
She then admitted to firing a shot into the air behind her residence while telling the friend to get out.
Video surveillance handed over by the neighbor showed the 40-year-old woman chasing the other individual out of the residence and pointing the weapon at the victim.
The woman can be heard saying, “I know you came to hurt me.”
The woman was then taken into custody on charges of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Endangering Safety by Use of a Dangerous Weapon, and Disorderly Conduct.
