There were some highs and some lows for the Mishicot High School baseball team over the weekend.
The Indians were in Crivitz for a triangular Saturday (April 12th), where they started the day with an 18-7 loss to Freedom.
The game was knotted up at 4 after 8 innings, when the Indians tallied 3 runs.
However, Freedom’s bats exploded for 14 runs in the bottom of the frame, giving the Irish a lopsided victory.
In the nightcap, the Indians opened up the scoring against the host Wolverines with 3 runs in the first, before adding 2 in the 4th inning, and 5 in the final two frames, winning 10-3.
Nolan Sand and Eli Skarda led the offense with a combined 7 hits and 8 RBI, while Brodan Wassurick knocked home a pair on his lone hit on the day.
Quinn Sand, Sawyer Sand, and Seth Rauber each notched 1 hit and 1 RBI as the Indians improve to 2-4 on the season.
Up next for Mishicot is a road contest tomorrow (April 15th) as they travel to Hilbert before hosting Two Rivers on Friday.
