Numerous soup and bowl products have been recalled throughout the Midwest.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued for the products due to the possible contamination of wood in the FDA-regulated ingredient cilantro.
Currently, 13 products have been recalled, including various brands of chicken tortilla, enchilada, and other Mexican-style or cilantro-containing soups from Campbell’s and Molly’s Kitchen brands.
While no products have been confirmed to be sent to Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio are among the states to be subject to the recall.
The FSIS also believes that other products will soon be added to this recall and will most likely have nationwide impacts.
All products subject to the recall will bear an establishment number of P-1764, with the exception of Crafted Market Coconut Chicken Thai Style Soup, which will read CA-711.
