Residents in Manitowoc County will have an opportunity this week to learn about one of the most devastating invasive species in Wisconsin.
In collaboration with Glacierland RC&D, the Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership will host an Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Field Day at the Woodland Dunes Nature Center Preserve tomorrow (April 16th) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This informative event will feature expert professionals who provide insight into EAB and how the pesky insects have been affecting both local and state ecosystems.
They will delve into management and reforestation strategies being used to address the issues EAB presents.
A hands-on, guided field tour will also be held after presentations, where attendees can see topics be put into action firsthand.
The event is free to attend, but registration is required.
If you would like to sign up to attend the Emerald Ash Borer Field Day, visit the Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership Facebook page or Eventbrite.com/e/lisma-eab-field-day-tickets to register.
