USCHO Hockey Polls: Badger Men Drop To 14th, Women Still No. 1

The Wisconsin men’s hockey team drops four places to Number 14 in this week’s Division One poll from U-S College Hockey Online. Coach Tony Granato’s Badgers are 9-6-and-2 after Mercyhurst began the first Atlantic Hockey Conference team to beat the U-W this season with a 3-2 win Saturday — but Wisconsin bounced back with a 4-2 win Sunday. Meanwhile, the Badger women are still Number One despite ending a 16 game winning streak to start the season after a 3-2 loss to Northeastern Friday night. In Division Three, the Saint Norbert men are still Number One with Stevens Point tenth, Milwaukee Engineering eleventh, and U-W Eau Claire 15th. In the “D” Three women’s poll, U-W River Falls remains fifth with Eau Claire tenth and Norwich of Connecticut still at Number One.
