The COVID-19 virus continues to linger over Manitowoc County, as seven new cases were reported by the Health Department yesterday (April 29th).
This brings the pandemic total up to 7,489, as the vaccination numbers continue to be much lower than they were a month ago.
A total of 536 shots were given out yesterday, with 132 of those being first doses. Compare that to March 29th, when 1,761 shots were administered, and 796 people got their first dose.
In total, 57,328 shots have been administered in the County, with 32,446 of those going into the arms of first-time patients.
In some good news, the death toll has not changed in the County in 20 days, while the number of people hospitalized sits at 27.
In Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported 12 new cases of the virus, along with 11 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,651 confirmed cases, 13,385 recoveries, and leaves 128 cases active.
Their death toll did not change either and remains at 138.
