A Fond du Lac County judge has sentenced a man to 79.5 years in prison for a shooting that hurt a child and left another victim paralyzed.
The incident happened in September 2018.
If he ever gets out, Delaney K. Watt would face another 63 years of extended supervision.
Prosecutors told the court Watt fired into a crowd at an apartment complex.
He may have been trying to collect a drug debt, though the person who allegedly owed him money wasn’t hit.
An anonymous source identified Watt as the shooter.
The jury convicted him of a lesser charge of recklessly endangering safety.
Members couldn’t agree on a guilty verdict to the charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
