The Outagamie County Emergency Management team reports it took about four-and-a-half hours to secure an ammonia leak at a cheese plant in Seymour Saturday night.
Fire crews responded to the Emmi Roth Cheese Plant at about 7:00 PM after an airborne release of anhydrous ammonia was reported, leading to the evacuation of residents living near the plant.
Good Shepherd Nursing Home was secured while the leak was fixed quickly.
The all-clear was given shortly before 11:40 PM and people were allowed to return to their homes.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities are investigating to find out what caused the leak.
