Once again, the number of COVID-19 vaccinations administered in Manitowoc County over the weekend and on Monday was relatively low, while the number of cases was up.
520 shots were given in those three days, with only 79 of those being first doses, while 12 new cases were reported by the Health Department. In total, 7,506 cases have been confirmed, while 58,871 vaccines have been administered. Of those vaccines, 32,678 have gone into the arms of first-time patients or roughly 41.4% of county residents.
There is a bit of good news, however, as there were no new deaths, meaning that number has remained at 69 since the April 9th report.
In Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported two more deaths linked to COVID. Both of these individuals are in the 80 and older age group and bring the County’s death toll up to 140.
Also, 23 more cases were reported, alongside 24 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,682 confirmed cases, 13,419 recoveries, and leaves 123 cases active.
