While the number of new COVID-19 cases in Manitowoc County was down yesterday, the number of vaccines administered also remained relatively low.
Only five more cases were confirmed by the Health Department, while 591 more shots were given out. Of those shots, only 146 went into the arms of first-time patients.
This brings Manitowoc County’s pandemic totals up to 7,523 confirmed cases, 59,619 shots administered, and 32,897 residents getting at least one dose of the vaccine.
There were no new deaths reported, leaving that total at 69 for the past 27 days.
In Sheboygan County, another death has been reported by the Division of Public Health. This individual was over the age of 80 and brings the death toll up to 141 in the County.
There is some good news, however, as only one new case was reported yesterday, alongside 5 recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,398 confirmed cases, 13,433 recoveries, and leaves 123 active cases.
