His strong freshman season caught some attention and that has led to Badgers basketball player Jonathan Davis being invited to try out for the U-S National Team.
The six-foot-five guard averaged seven points and four rebounds-a-game for Wisconsin last season. He hit almost 39-percent of his 3-pointers and led the Badgers with 34 steals in 31 games.
Trials, where 12 players will be selected for the team, will be held next month.
The U-S team’s first game at the FIBA Under19 World Cup will be against Turkey on July 3rd, then Mali on July 4th, and Australia on July 6th.
Sixteen nations are competing and the U-S is the defending gold medalist.
