Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, a day where many people celebrate Mexican culture. The Manitowoc County Emergency Services Division got in on the fun and decided to use the holiday to also educate the public.
In a post on Facebook, they described the difference between a severe weather watch and a warning.
They showed a picture of all the ingredients to make a taco and used that to visualize that a severe weather watch means that the “ingredients are coming together for severe weather”.
Then they showed a fully assembled taco, which represented a severe weather warning.
