Appleton authorities say they are investigating the death of a man in a Tuesday night house fire.
His body was discovered after firefighters put out the flames. Dispatchers had received a 9-1-1 call at about 11:00 PM from a person saying the home next door was on fire. It took about 45 minutes to get the fire under control.
Cell phone video shows heavy flames engulfing the structure.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Appleton Fire Department says the home is a “total loss.”
