Mequon police arrested a hit-and-run suspect Sunday night after a police officer suffered minor injuries during a traffic stop.
The driver’s name hasn’t been released.
The Thiensville police officer was standing at his squad car’s driver’s side door with his emergency lights activated when a vehicle side-swiped the marked patrol car.
That driver didn’t stop.
The driver of the car the officer had pulled over wasn’t injured.
The officer’s name hasn’t been released.
He didn’t require hospitalization.
