A three-run rally that started with two outs in the eighth inning led to a 4-1 Brewers win Wednesday night.
The victory evened the series against the Central Division-leading Cardinals at a game apiece.
Avisail Garcia’s two-run bomb was the big hit, while starter Brandon Woodruff pitched a no-hitter through six innings and allowed only a Tyler O’Neill homer among three hits and a walk in seven-and-two-thirds.
Devin Williams got the win and Josh Hader picked up his eighth save as the Brewers moved to two games out in the standings.
Corbin Burnes will be activated off the injured list to start the series finale today (May 13th) against St. Louis. He will be opposed by Cardinals ace Jack Flaherty.
That game will be aired on 107.9 FM WOMT and at WOMTRadio.com starting at 12:05 PM.
