Wisconsin Badgers offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen has become the first Packers draft pick to sign a new pro contract.
Van Lanen was a sixth-round choice in the 2021 N-F-L Draft, and E-S-P-N is reporting his deal is worth about $3.6 million over four years and includes a signing bonus of nearly $154,000.
Van Lanen is coming home because he grew up in Green Bay, playing at Bay Port High School.
The six-foot-five, 312-pounder was solid at left tackle for the Badgers while starting the last two seasons.
