Two defense attorneys have been allowed to withdraw from a double-murder trial in Dane County.
Attorneys Andrew Martinez and Jeremiah Meyer-O’Day cited a conflict during a Friday hearing.
They were representing 19-year-old Khari Sanford of Madison. Sanford is accused of shooting Doctor Beth Potter and her husband, Robin Carre, to death last year.
The two attorneys say the conflict was connected to something Sanford did or said, but it wasn’t specified.
He had also filed a complaint against them with the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation.
