A teacher at Manitowoc’s Wilson Middle School is among the finalists for the 2021 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
Kevin Kiel is an eighth-grade teacher at the school and is among six Wisconsin teachers who made it to the final round.
A national committee will judge Wisconsin’s finalists, and one winner will be named in mathematics and a second for science.
Both will receive a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation and will be honored by the President at an awards ceremony held in Washington DC.
