The WIAA has announced that it is planning to remain at Veterans Memorial Stadium in La Crosse for the State Track & Field Championships late next month.
The event, as you know, and all spring sports were canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now, the word out of Stevens Point is the state meet will take place June 24th thru the ‘26th. However, the schedule will be altered this year from its’ traditional format to accommodate continued covid guidelines.
The meet will be held over a 3-day period with track and field events for boys and girls conducted in one day for each of the three divisions.
The accommodations and guidelines will permit up to 5,500 people in attendance for each day of competition: Thursday, June 24th for division-3 athletes, Friday, June 25th for D-‘2, and Saturday, June 26th for Division-1 competitors.
