Roger “The Horse” Hastreiter, age 84, a Manitowoc resident, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 18, 2021 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Ave, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Doug LeCaptain with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m.
Roger and Clare had eight children: Chris (Tim) Newton and their daughters: Cory (Greg) Romanowski and Casey (Tim) Entringer; great grandchildren: Kaya, Anya, Abraham, Eloise and Norah, Jim Hastreiter (deceased) and his daughters: Cheryl Hastreiter and Amanda Reno, Jeff (Carol) Hastreiter and their children: Calum and Keely Hastreiter, Connie (Brian) Loose and their twin sons: Zach and Drew, Joel Hastreiter (deceased) and his daughters: Hailey and Heather Hastreiter, John Hastreiter (deceased) and his daughter: Emmy Hastreiter, Cathy (Bryan) Peltonen and their daughter: Chloe Peltonen, Joshua Hastreiter. Survivors also include special family friends: Tina Brouchoud and Kelly Zutz; four sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Lori Waniger, Art (Elaine) Neilitz, Joan (Mike) Miller, John (Mary) Neilitz, Paul (Ruth) Neilitz, Mary (Mike) Henner, Sherri (Bill) Glandt; and one brother-in-law: Carl Kaminski. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three sons; two sisters: Kay (Harold) Braun, Laverne (John) Harrell; one sister-in-law: Jan Kaminski; and one brother-in-law: Ed Waniger.
