The San Diego Padres edged the Milwaukee Brewers 2-1 in ten innings Wednesday night (May 26th) at American Family Field.
Victor Caratini drove in the go-ahead run-off Brewers reliever Brent Suter.
Milwaukee starter Eric Lauer allowed one run and struck out six over six innings – and hit a solo home run in the third.
San Diego’s Chris Paddock also pitched six innings of one-run ball and did not factor into the decision. Austin Adams tossed a scoreless ninth for the win.
The Brewers and Padres wrap up the four-game series this afternoon, in a game you can hear on 107.9 FM WOMT and at WOMTRadio.com starting at 11:35 AM. Adrian Hauser will be on the mound for the Crew, and Ryan Weathers will pitch for the Padres.
Also, the Brewers have announced they are loosening COVID restrictions and fan policies at their home ballpark in June.
Next Tuesday vaccinated fans will not be required to wear masks at American Family Field. Those who have not received the vaccine should continue to mask up.
Fans will be allowed to bring in small bags, sealed bottles of water or juice, and personal size food items, while some concession stands will begin accepting cash again.
The Brewers plan to increase capacity to 100 percent on June 25th.
