The Milwaukee Brewers walked off the San Diego Padres 6-5 in ten innings Thursday to earn a split of the four-game series.
Jackie Bradley Junior drove in the winning run with a hit off the outfield wall at American Family Field.
Willy Adames went four-for-five and hit a three-run homer, his first in a Brewers uniform.
Starter Adrian Houser pitched five shutout innings, but did not factor into the decision. Relievers Trevor Richards gave up three runs and Devin Williams allowed two in eighth. Brent Suter got the win after pitching a scoreless tenth.
Brett Anderson starts the series opener tonight (May 28th) at the Washington Nationals. Coverage on 107.9 FM WOMT is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
American Family Field is expanding to 100-percent capacity on June 25th and the Brewers will celebrate “Re-Opening Day 2021.”
The team has moved the start time against the Colorado Rockies from 7:10 to 3:10 p-m that day. There will be appearances by Brewers legends Paul Molitor and Cecil Cooper, a special national anthem performance, and other festivities.
The event will recognize the first full capacity crowd for a Brewers game since September of 2019.
Brewers’ president of business Rick Schlesinger said they want the fans to experience all the pomp and circumstance of the home opener as they lift restrictions. Tickets go on sale on June 4th.
