State health officials say the seven-day average for new COVID cases in Wisconsin dropped below 300 for the first time since last summer.
The Department of Health Services dashboard showed 282 new cases confirmed Thursday and the seven-day average is 285.
That is the lowest since June 19th, 2020.
The case positivity rate remains at 2.3%.
The seven-day average for COVID deaths fell to two per day.
Just over 7,000 people have died from coronavirus complications in the state.
