The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Northeast Region reminds motorists that State Highway 42 south of Kewaunee will be closed and detoured starting Tuesday, June 1st.
The project will consist of nearly ten miles of resurfacing, the replacement of two box culverts between the south Kewaunee/Manitowoc County Line and Baumeister Drive in Kewaunee, repair and replacing various culvert pipes in the work zone, storm sewer, beam guard, and pavement marking, rumble strip installation and minor grading and shoulder widening.
Access will be maintained to businesses and properties and flagging operations will be used for work conducted not under full closure.
The $5.1 million project is expected to be completed this fall with all work dependent upon weather conditions.
