A group of more than 100 veterans, families, and citizens were in Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc on Saturday (May 29th).
Local Chapter 731 of the Vietnam Veterans of America coordinated the placement of flags at the gravestones of every veteran interred there, which numbers about 2,700 dating all the way back to the Civil War.
Chapter 731 spokesman John Jacobs said, “this is done every Memorial Day weekend to pay tribute to those who have served this great nation, especially those who gave their last full measure of devotion.”
