The union representing postal workers is warning plans to close the mail sorting facility in Wausau could cause delivery delays.
The U-S Postal Service says it is going to consolidate 18 mail facilities across the country.
That change would move all mail sorting from Wausau to Green Bay.
Mail from Rhinelander and Hurley was already moved to Green Bay five years ago.
The union representatives warn the change could affect mail delivery in parts of central and northern Wisconsin.
About 15 workers would lose their jobs when the move is made.
