Sixth District Congressman Glen Grothman recently visited the Drug Enforcement Agency in Milwaukee and shares some “startling revelations” in connection to illegal drugs and related deaths.
He’s learned that 540 people in Milwaukee County died from illegal drug overdoses last year.
The local legislator tells Seehafer News that there’s wide speculation fentanyl, and/or its ingredients are responsible for a number of those deaths replacing marijuana as the top drug brought into America from Mexican drug cartels.
“Since they legalized marijuana in so many states the quality in America is better than brought across the border,” Grothman explained. “Because they can’t make money (on marijuana sales) anymore they are bringing fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine across (the border) in record numbers. These have significantly contributed to a rise in drug overdose deaths.”
Grothman has also learned that a majority of Milwaukee County including the cities of Milwaukee and Wauwatosa have stopped investigating these deaths as criminal matters.
“In Milwaukee County, they’re saying no big deal and process it like you died of a heart attack,” he said. “They make no effort to see where these illegal drugs came from which is a “boon” for drug dealers. I’m sure the drugs in the Manitowoc area come through Milwaukee which in the long term have a negative effect on Manitowoc County as well.”
The Border Patrol estimates that since President Biden has eased restrictions approximately 65,000 to 70,000 people cross the U.S-Mexican border per month with nearly half or 30,000 classified as “got aways” or those who slipped through the cracks.
The Glenbeulah Republican, who represents Manitowoc County in Washington D.C., added the cartels make money for each illegal alien brought across and are spreading the word that the United States has open borders emphasizing that now is the best time to come to America.
