Lenore “Lenny” (nee Bryant) Jost, age 76, of Cleveland, WI., entered eternal life on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Sage Meadow Memory Care in Fond du Lac.
Lenny was born on January 3, 1945 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late William and Norma Rudie Bryant. Lenny was a graduate of Nathan Hale High School in West Allis and continued her education at the Marquette University in Milwaukee. On June 18, 1966 she married Ronald “Ben” Jost in Manitowoc. She was employed for 18 years with the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department from where she retired. Lenny was a member of First Lutheran Church and served as the first lady President of the church council. When her children were growing up Lenny participated with them by coaching, along with her brother Pat, their Little League teams, she was also involved with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and the PTA at Cleveland Elementary School. Despite working third shift Lenny always found time to attend her children’s extracurricular activities. She was an avid bowler, a member of local recreation volleyball and softball leagues, and followed her dad’s interest in golfing leagues. She was an excellent cook and family sit down meal time was important on a daily basis. Lenny enjoyed her retirement by spending time on their farm and wintering in Arizona with her beloved husband.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ben, one son, Ron Jost, Jr. Cleveland, three daughters, Laura (Guy) Jones, Sheboygan, Traci (Charlie) Goking, Sheboygan Falls, and Erikka (Bill) Hass, Sheboygan; seven grandchildren, one brother, Grant (Paige) Bryant, West Allis; three sisters, Rickie Beilfuss, New Berlin, Kathrine (Tom) Rozanski, Hales Corners, Candace (Troy) Dahlke, New Berlin; special friend of 64 years, Sandy; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and many friends surviving. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Norma Bryant, three brothers, William “Pat” Bryant, Randall Bryant, and Robert Bryant, and her special friend and “Bingo Buddy”, Mary Ann.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Julie Barger. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the memorial service a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
