The Valders Softball team scored 5-times in the first inning to set the tone and let pitcher Madalyn Lambert do the rest in a 6-0 victory over visiting Oconto.
Lambert went the distance on a one-hit shutout while striking out 12 and walking 7.
Offensively for the Vikings, Carissa Hammel went 2-for-4 including a triple, Valerie Valleskey was 2-for-3 with 2-RBI’s, Julia Zabel went 2-for-2 and Berrin Vandenheuvel was 1-for-3 with a pair of runs scored.
Valders, now 11-&-7 overall, will resume EWC play this afternoon at Sheboygan Falls.
