A 38-year-old Manitowoc woman is facing multiple charges in connection to the police pursuit of a stolen vehicle early this morning.
Manitowoc Police received a report of a stolen vehicle shortly after 5:30 a.m. A Manitowoc County Sheriff’s
Deputy located the suspect vehicle traveling north on Memorial Drive into Two Rivers. An attempt to stop the truck by the Deputy and a Two Rivers Police Officer failed and a brief pursuit west onto Highway 310 reaching speeds up to 75 miles-per-hour. She eventually lost control-crashing into a ditch near Browns Drive. After a foot pursuit, she was taken into custody and transported to a local medical facility for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries.
Charges of Operating A Motor Vehicle Without the Owner’s Consent, Knowingly Fleeing an Officer, and Resisting an Officer are being referred to The Manitowoc County District Attorney’s Office.
