A 24-year-old Stevens Point man was transferred to a Green Bay hospital for treatment of “life-threatening” injuries following a two-vehicle crash this morning near the Village of Cleveland.
The Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center received a call around 9:45 a.m. for the crash which occurred along I-43 near Fischer Creek Road in The Town of Centerville.
A preliminary investigation indicates the Stevens Point male was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on I-43 when he collided with a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old man from Fond Du Lac causing both drivers to lose control, proceed through the median, and across both southbound lanes of traffic before coming to rest.
