After two days of moderately high COVID-19 vaccination numbers, the Manitowoc County Health Department reported another dip.
Only 90 shots were given out yesterday, with 44 of those being first doses. This brings the total number of shots administered up to 67,187, with 35,974 of those going into the arms of first-time patients.
But in some good news, there was only one new case of COVID-19 reported yesterday, bringing the pandemic total up to 7,645. So far this month only 14 new cases have been reported, which is a significant decline from last month, when 48 news cases were reported through the first eight days.
Also, the death toll remained unchanged at 72.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, only three new cases were reported by the Division of Public Health. That coupled with 14 recoveries means the pandemic totals now sit at 13,858 confirmed cases, 13,660 recoveries, and only 52 cases remain active.
They also did not report any deaths, that total remaining stagnant at 146.
