A 24-year-old Stevens Point man has died from injuries sustained following a two-vehicle crash yesterday along I-43 near Fischer Creek Road in the Town of Centerville near the Village of Cleveland.
A preliminary investigation indicates the victim was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on I-43 when he collided with a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old man from Fond Du Lac causing both drivers to lose control-proceed through the median and across both southbound lanes of traffic before coming to rest. The Fond Du Lac male was treated on scene and released while the victim’s car struck a tree before ending up in a ditch.
No names are being released at this time as the State Patrol continues its investigation
