The COVID-19 reports from the Manitowoc County Health Department have all looked very similar this month, as for the fourth time out of seven reports, two new cases were added.
This brings the pandemic total for the County up to 7,647, while the death toll remained unchanged at 72. The seven-day average for new cases is at its lowest point ever, at 1.1 new cases per day, while the number of people hospitalized in the area sits at 15.
On the vaccination front, 205 more vaccines were given out yesterday (June 9th), with 81 of those being first-dose shots. In total, 67,392 shots have been administered, with 36,055 of those being first doses.
Roughly 45.7% of County residents have gotten at least one dose of any of the three available vaccines, compared to 48.7% of Wisconsinites.
Meanwhile, in Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health also reported low numbers.
Only one new case was added, alongside four recoveries. This brings their pandemic totals up to 13,859 confirmed cases, 13,664 recoveries, and only 49 cases remain active.
Their death toll also did not change, remaining at 146.
