Roncalli made quick-work of Ozaukee last night in the opening game of the WIAA Girls Fastpitch Softball Tournament.
The Jets defeated the visiting Warriors, 16-0, in just 3-innings.
Roncalli had only 3-hits but benefitted from 13 walks from the opposing pitcher. Ellie Jagemann went 2-for-3 on a pair of doubles, 3-runs scored, and 5-RBI’s.
Mckenzie Staudinger also doubled, scored twice, and was credited with 4-RBI’s. Winning pitcher Jena Garceau allowed just 1-hit to go along with 3-walks and 3-strikeouts.
The Jets move on to play a Regional semifinal at 2nd seeded Princeton/Green Lake on Monday (June 14th).
