For the third time in five days, the Manitowoc County Health Department reported on Friday (June 18th) that no one was reported to have contracted COVID-19.
In fact, only four new cases were reported all last week, leaving the pandemic total at 7,654, while 14 people remain hospitalized in the area. For the three straight weeks, there have also been no new deaths linked to the virus in Manitowoc County.
On the vaccination front, 286 more shots were given out on Friday, with 108 of those going into the arms of first time patients. That brings the total number of vaccinations given up to 69,001, with 36,714 of those being first doses.
As of Friday’s report, 46.5% of County residents have gotten at least one dose of a vaccine.
In Sheboygan County, only one new case was reported by the Division of Public Health on Friday. That, coupled with three recoveries, leaves the pandemic totals at 13,877 confirmed cases, 13,689 recoveries, and 41 cases remain active.
They also did not report any new deaths, leaving that total at 147.
