Dramm Corporation of Manitowoc, a leader in watering tools and accessories for nearly 80 years, is expanding. They held a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday at their soon-to-be new home at 1425 Dufek Drive.
President Hans Dramm says they’ve simply outgrown their 70,000 square-foot facility on North 18th Street.
“We’ve had great success the last few years but we’re literally landlocked at our current location with no room to expand,” he told Seehafer News. “We didn’t want to split operation between multiple locations plus we’ll have the capability to expand here.”
The new building will consist of 98,000 square feet of space that will include a 2400 square foot research greenhouse for testing and demonstrating products of Dramm’s four business segments, a 621 square foot testing facility to maintain Dramm’s high-quality products, and a large showroom to display products and hold meetings.
“We’ve been looking for a new location for at least two years,” Dramm explained. “We’re very excited to move and have all new equipment and facilities to better serve our customers.”
Dramm says they are looking to add on to their current 93 total employees, 70 of which are at their headquarters on North 18th Street.
Warehouse construction on the new facility is scheduled to be completed by October and Office construction by May of 2022.
