Three separate road construction projects are scheduled to begin after the Fourth of July in Manitowoc.
Washington Street between South 15th and 18th Streets is scheduled to be closed to thru traffic beginning July 6th for asphalt resurfacing.
Westbound traffic will be rerouted onto South 14th to Franklin to South 21st and back onto Washington Street while eastbound traffic will be detoured onto South 21st to Franklin to South 14th then back onto Washington Street.
Work is expected to take approximately three weeks.
Meanwhile, Custer Street between Calumet Avenue and South 39th and South 30th Street between Division and Dewey Streets will close to thru traffic beginning July 6th for replacement of underground utilities and reconstruction of those roadways.
Detour routes will be posted during construction with work on both projects expected to be completed and streets reopened to thru traffic around October 29th.
