The Milwaukee Brewers have taken a look into their backyard to find a hitter in this week’s 2021 Major League Baseball Draft.
With the 86th overall pick, the Brewers selected third baseman Alex Binelas of Louisville University.
Binelas is a Brewers fan who grew up in Oak Creek. He’s also a big time power prospect.
He got off to a slow start in the college baseball season, pushing him lower in the draft, however, he finished with 19 homers and a .969 O-P-S.
Binelas pounded 18 homers in his last 124 college at-bats.
