Badgers defensive lineman Matt Henningsen has been named to the N-C-A-A Academic All-American team.
The electrical engineering student earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average during 2020-2021.
That’s the third time he has been honored in three years.
An arm injury sidelined him after last fall’s 49-11 win over Michigan, but he was back on the field for spring practice in March.
Henningsen is projected to start at defensive end.
The former walk-on from Menomonee Falls is a 6′ 3″, 286-pound senior.
